iQOO is getting ready to launch the iQOO Neo 10 smartphone series in China soon. This series is reported to include two models: the iQOO Neo 10 and the Neo 10 Pro. The Neo 10 is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor from last year, while the Pro version is expected to sport the advanced MediaTek Dimensity 9400.

    Performance Insights

Before the official launch, scheduled for November 29, 2024, the brand has shared the performance stats of the Neo 10 Pro. According to a recent update from iQOO’s Weibo account, the iQOO Neo 10 Pro has surpassed the highest Android benchmark score of 3.2 million on AnTuTu, achieving a score of 3,204,156 points. The company also confirmed that this device is equipped with LPDDR5X Ultra (9600Mbps) RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. While these numbers might reflect ideal conditions, users can look forward to a significant performance improvement in real-world usage compared to last year’s Neo model.

    Benchmarking Results

The device was also seen on Geekbench 6, where it joined the Neo 10 model and scored 2914 points in the single-core test and 9300 points in the multi-core test. Additionally, iQOO has confirmed that the Neo 10 series will feature the Sony IMX921 camera sensor, which is also included in the Vivo X200. Expectations are that the series will come with an 8T LTPO display panel boasting a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

    Battery and Design Features

This series is likely to include a large 6,100mAh silicon carbon anode battery, coupled with 120W flash charging technology. Despite its substantial battery, the device is said to be sleek, measuring only 7.99mm in thickness and weighing 199 grams. Another significant upgrade for the Neo series is the introduction of ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, which will replace the optical fingerprint scanners from the iQOO Neo 9 series, enabling “one-swipe unlocking.”

iQoo Neo 10 Pro with Dimensity 9400 Breaks AnTuTu Records

iQoo is set to launch the Neo 10 series in China on November 29. This new lineup will feature two smartphones, with the company already highlighting the impressive performance of the Pro model in AnTuTu benchmarks. Recent teasers indicate that the new Dimensity 9400 flagship is capable of achieving an astonishing score of 3,204,156 in the benchmark tests.

    Competitive Performance

This new score surpasses that of the Redmi K80 Pro, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Redmi device previously reached a record score of 3,194,766 in AnTuTu, making it the top performer before the current record by the iQoo. The previous record holder was the ROG Phone 9, which has now been dethroned.

    Hardware Advantages

The iQoo Neo 10 Pro has some hardware benefits that contribute to its exceptional performance. It boasts UFS 4.1 storage, confirmed by the company, which is quicker than the UFS 4.0 found in high-scoring Snapdragon 8 Elite devices like the Asus ROG Phone 9. Additionally, the Neo 10 Pro is equipped with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, further enhancing its performance compared to the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite models.

The combination of this faster storage and RAM should result in improved scores in the memory sections of AnTuTu, likely enabling the iQoo flagship to exceed 3.2 million points in total.

    Upcoming Rankings

As these high-performing devices are released, it will be intriguing to see which one secures the top position in AnTuTu’s next flagship rankings. In the last ranking, the OnePlus 13, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite, took the lead with a significant score difference when compared to the Vivo X200 Pro, which utilized the Dimensity 9400 and placed third. The dynamics may change with the upcoming rankings.

Several sources have indicated that iQOO is likely to reveal the iQOO Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro models by the end of this month (November) in China. Up to this point, numerous leaks have surfaced regarding the specifications of both devices. However, the battery capacity and overall design of the Neo 10 series remain uncertain.

    Battery Details Revealed

According to insider DCS, the iQOO Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro are equipped with a 6,100mAh silicon battery that supports 120W fast charging. He mentioned that the weight of the Neo 10 series is consistent with its predecessor. For reference, the previous model, the Neo 9, weighs 190 grams, while the Pro version is slightly heavier at 198 grams.

    Processor and Camera Variations

DCS also pointed out that the key distinction between the Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro lies in their processors; most other features are similar across both models. Earlier leaks from DCS suggest that the Neo 10 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Neo 10 Pro will utilize the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Additional leaks have indicated that the two models will vary in aspects like rear camera setups and fingerprint sensors. The Neo 10 is anticipated to have a dual-camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel and an 8-megapixel camera, along with an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor. Meanwhile, the Neo 10 Pro might come with a 50-megapixel dual camera setup and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

    Display and Storage Specs

Both the iQOO Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro are rumored to feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display, boasting a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 144Hz, along with eye protection dimming technology. It is expected that both models will include a 16-megapixel front camera and run on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15. The series might provide options of up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage capacity reaching 1 TB with UFS 4.0.

Interestingly, DCS has posted a render of an upcoming smartphone that resembles the rear camera layout of the iPhone 16. However, he did not disclose which device it represents. Given its dual-camera configuration, it is plausible that this render pertains to the Neo 10 series. One notable aspect is the volume rocker’s position on the left side instead of the right, which is unusual. Therefore, it’s best to wait for more information to clarify the design of the Neo 10 series.
