OnePlus Ace 5 Pro Outshines Snapdragon 8 Elite in Gaming Tests

The Ace 5 Pro is expected to make its appearance toward the end of 2024, designed specifically for the Chinese market. This might be disappointing for many, as it is rumored to be a variant of the forthcoming 13R, featuring enhancements like the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the latest leaks.

Exclusive Features

The 5 Pro may become even more exclusive, as it could be the only device to launch with the 8 Elite processor along with an additional "Fengchi gaming" chip, according to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station. This new co-processor is portrayed as almost giving players an unfair advantage in games, such as Honor of Kings, boasting a low average power consumption of only 3.71W while achieving impressive frame rates of 120.6fps.

Impressive Performance

In terms of performance, the Ace 5 Pro reportedly used just 3.92W to play Genshin Impact at a rate of 60.5fps for an entire hour. Additionally, it consumed only 5.44W when running Honkai Star Rail in ultra-high load mode. This suggests that the Fengchi chip is designed to save power on a frame-by-frame basis, optimizing frame rates, and potentially giving the Ace 5 Pro a significant edge over other smartphones equipped with the 8 Elite, including the OnePlus 13.
