Honor Magic 7 Pro Launching in Europe January 2025 with Price Increase

At the end of October, Honor introduced its Magic 7 series smartphones in China. Recently, a leak has come to light revealing that the brand intends to launch the Honor Magic 7 Pro model in Europe in January 2025, and it’s gonna be pretty pricey.

Launch Details

According to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by tipster @RODENT950, the Magic 7 Pro is set to be released on January 25, 2025, in Europe. The tipster also mentioned that the device will retail for €1,399, which is a €100 increase compared to its predecessor, the Magic 6 Pro. In terms of specifications, it’s expected that the European version will mirror the Chinese variant, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Key Features of Honor Magic 7 Pro

The Honor Magic 7 Pro boasts a 6.8-inch quad-curved OLED display, which has a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate and can reach a peak HDR brightness of 5000 nits, making it one of the brightest smartphone screens available.

Performance and Camera Setup

This smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is built on a second-generation 3nm process. It has an octa-core setup with two prime cores running at 4.32GHz and six performance cores at 3.53GHz, along with the Adreno 830 GPU that provides a 40% improvement in gaming performance. Honor’s advanced liquid cooling system maintains the temperature below 44.8°C even during intense gaming sessions.

The camera setup on the Magic 7 Pro includes a 50MP OmniVision OVH9000 main sensor that offers a variable aperture (f/1.4-f/2.0) and a 200MP Samsung S5KHP3 periscope telephoto lens with 100x digital zoom and optical image stabilization. For selfies, there’s a 50MP front camera together with a ToF depth sensor for better 3D facial recognition and stunning portraits.

Battery and Additional Features

The Magic 7 Pro is equipped with a 5850mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging. It also features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that can be used even with wet hands, along with 3D facial recognition for safe unlocking.

Both models have IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance and come with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and DTS Ultra for improved audio quality.
