Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Wireless Floor Cleaner 5C, the latest model in its budget-friendly cordless cleaning lineup and a direct successor to last year’s 4C. The new device addresses several areas of user feedback by emphasizing higher suction performance, more effective hair detangling, and faster drying times.
Boosted Suction and Refined Cleaning Performance
Suction power now reaches 18,000Pa, up from 15,000Pa on the previous generation, giving the 5C greater capability to lift dust, debris, and pet hair across different floor types. The cleaner incorporates a triple anti-tangle system designed to stop hair from wrapping around the brush, a refinement likely to resonate with pet owners. Operational noise is said to hover around 50 dB, a quieter figure than before.
Faster Drying and Extended Runtime
Xiaomi has also equipped the 5C with a 60°C airflow to accelerate drying time and reduce odor buildup, an improvement over earlier models. Battery life reaches up to 45 minutes, which the company states is sufficient to clean an area as large as 341 square meters (approximately 3,670 square feet) on a single charge.
Pricing and Market Outlook
The Mijia Wireless Floor Cleaner 5C is currently available in China priced at 999 yuan, or roughly $150. While international availability has not yet been confirmed, the preceding 4C model is already listed on Xiaomi’s global website, pointing to a likely wider release in the future. The 5C enters a segment where comparable cordless floor cleaners include options such as the Tineco Floor One i5 Stretch and the Dreame H12 Pro.
