Lenovo has launched the ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 6 in multiple global markets, broadening availability of the compact desktop beyond its initial United States release several weeks ago. The new model succeeds the Raptor Lake-based Gen 5 version and shifts to Intel’s latest Lunar Lake architecture.
Processor choices and integrated graphics
The system is offered with two processor options: the Core Ultra 5 226V and the Core Ultra 7 256V. These bring integrated Arc 130V and Arc 140V graphics respectively. In testing, a performance gap of about 15 percent separates the two GPUs, which are capable of running some older AAA titles at 1080p on high settings.
Build, connectivity, and storage options
Lenovo packages the hardware in a chassis measuring 179 x 182.9 x 34.5 mm, with a total weight of 1.1 kg. Storage configurations span 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 solid-state storage. Buyers can choose between Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 wireless connectivity, while a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port is included as standard. The company also offers optional DisplayPort and VGA ports.
