Asus has brought its high-end ProArt PZ14 2-in-1 to additional international markets, positioning the device as a direct alternative to Microsoft’s recently released Surface Pro 12. The convertible, which first launched in China and parts of Europe earlier this year, effectively succeeds the ProArt PZ13 with a larger display and updated internals.
A Larger, High-Refresh OLED Canvas
The move from a 13-inch to a 14-inch panel increases the device’s footprint to 319.6 x 206.3 x 90 mm. The OLED touchscreen runs at a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels with a 16:10 aspect ratio and is capable of reaching up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness when displaying HDR content. A 144 Hz refresh rate rounds out the visual package, aiming to provide smooth scrolling and responsive pen input.
Snapdragon X2 Elite Power and Battery Capacity
At its core, the ProArt PZ14 relies on the X2E-88-100 variant of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite platform. Based on internal benchmarks, this configuration delivers roughly 19 percent more performance than the Snapdragon-powered Surface Pro 12. The system is backed by a 75 Wh battery, which represents a 41 percent capacity increase over the 53 Wh unit found in Microsoft’s tablet, suggesting notably longer run times away from an outlet.
Configuration Options and Regional Pricing
The ProArt PZ14 carries a retail price of $2,499 in the United States and CAD 2,899 in Canada. Buyers in Ireland will pay €2,759, while the device sells for £2,299 in the United Kingdom. Across most regions, Asus offers the device with 16 GB of RAM. Canada stands as the notable exception, where a 32 GB variant is also available for a CAD 500 surcharge. The price difference equates to approximately $355, giving Canadian buyers the sole option to specify the higher memory tier at this stage.
