Their analysis indicates that Apple may struggle to mass-produce crucial parts for the foldable device, possibly named the iPhone Fold, particularly the hinge, during the third quarter of 2026, which is necessary for a release to coincide with the iPhone 18 series.
A Shift to 2027?
This situation makes a 2027 launch more and more probable. As of now, the initial foldable iPhone is rumored to come with a 7.58-inch internal LTPO AMOLED display by Samsung and a 5.38-inch cover screen.
