    Launch Styles and Designs

Oppo has also shared that the Watch X2 Mini will be available in three distinct styles, with images provided below. Earlier this week, Vivo made an announcement about the Vivo V50 Lite’s 4G version. Today, the company has globally launched the 5G edition of the Vivo V50 Lite as well. Both versions have a lot in common when it comes to display, camera, and battery features. The primary distinction is that the 5G model boasts a newer chipset and enhanced connectivity capabilities. The Vivo V50 Lite 5G, which is a successor to last year’s Vivo V40 Lite 5G, comes with a bigger battery and a larger screen compared to its forerunner.

    Specifications and Display

The Vivo V50 Lite 5G showcases a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen (a slight increase from the 6.67 inches on the Vivo V40 Lite) with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and can reach a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The 5G model keeps the same main camera as the 4G version, which is a 50 MP camera using the Sony IMX882 sensor. This main camera is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. A significant upgrade is the large 6,500 mAh battery (increased from the 5,000 mAh of the V40 Lite 5G) that supports 90 W wired charging. The device operates on Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15, but there hasn’t been any information from the brand regarding software updates.

Oppo has launched a new affordable smartphone in China called the Oppo A5, following the A3 from last year. The A4 model has been skipped because the number four is viewed as unlucky in Chinese culture.

    Display Improvements

One of the most significant enhancements in the A5 is its AMOLED display, featuring a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. This display is a 10-bit panel that reaches a peak brightness of 1200 nits and is safeguarded by Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass. This marks a considerable improvement over the A3, which had an IPS LCD display with lower HD+ resolution and a brightness of 1000 nits.

    Camera and Battery Features

The front camera has been upgraded from 5MP to 8MP, while the rear camera setup remains unchanged, with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary lens. The A5 also has a larger battery, increasing capacity from 5100mAh to 6500mAh. Although the charging speed remains at 45W, the phone still maintains a slim profile at 7.65mm thick and weighs 189 grams.

    Performance and Software

Under the hood, the A5 is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, available with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of UFS 3.1. Unfortunately, there is no microSD card slot, so users will have to rely on the internal storage. On the software side, it operates on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. The phone also supports NFC for contactless payments and boasts an IP69 rating, ensuring good protection against dust and water.

    Pricing and Color Options

The Oppo A5 is offered in three colors: Diamond Pink, Mica Blue, and Zircon Black, with four different storage configurations available:
    – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – 1,299 yuan (~$180)
    – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – 1,499 yuan (~$210)
    – 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – 1,799 yuan (~$250)

    Launch Date and Pricing

The Pocket Classic is set to be available for purchase starting at 01:30 UTC on March 18. Additionally, Retroid has announced that while the gaming device will retail for $119, there will be a $5 discount at launch, bringing the price down to $114. In brief, the Pocket Classic will feature a 3.92-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,240 x 1,080 pixels and a brightness of 500 nits, all in a 5:4 aspect ratio. Retroid has shared more details about the Pocket Classic, following their previous announcements about solving display issues with the Pocket Mini. They showed additional render images of the Pocket Classic and introduced its color choices, along with an optional six-button version.

    Display Specifications

The company has confirmed the display specs for the Pocket Classic, which we have included below. The device will feature a 3.92-inch AMOLED screen that has a resolution of 1,240 x 1,080 pixels and an effective aspect ratio of 5:4 (1.15:1). Brightness Capabilities

Additionally, the Pocket Classic is designed to reach a brightness level of 500 nits, outperforming the Pocket DMG’s 400 nits. This gives the Pocket Classic a 25% edge in brightness, although Analogue does not provide peak brightness figures for the Pocket on its website.

While Retroid currently associates these specifications specifically with the six-button ‘Classic 6’ variant, we believe they will likely apply to all models. As for other features of the Pocket Classic, we still don’t have much information; however, it wouldn’t be surprising if Retroid includes the same Dimensity 1100 and Snapdragon 865 chipsets that are found in the Pocket Flip 2.
