Although Acer has been in the tablet market for over ten years, it has been surpassed by several competitors like Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo, and Xiaomi. Still, this hasn’t stopped the company from releasing new devices, including the Acer Iconia X12 (check out our review). Recently, the Taiwanese firm introduced several new tablets at IFA 2025, one of which is the Acer Iconia A14.
Budget-Friendly Features
The Iconia A14 is an economical Android tablet, yet it offers a large screen similar to many recent high-end Android tablets. It comes with a 14-inch Full HD IPS display and has a resolution of 1200 x 1920. Acer claims that it has a wide viewing angle and a ZeroFrame design, making it ideal for activities like web browsing or watching films and shows because of its size. Additionally, the tablet includes a screen-casting feature, an integrated kickstand, and can function as a secondary display.
Specifications and Performance
Rather than choosing a Qualcomm or MediaTek chip, Acer went with an Allwinner processor. Inside is the Allwinner A733 — an 8-core processor featuring Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 CPU cores — along with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The tablet has an 8MP camera with autofocus on the back and a 5MP camera on the front.
Connectivity and Battery Life
The Acer Iconia A14 is equipped with quad speakers, an audio jack located at the top left corner, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and dual Type-C ports. It also houses an 8,000mAh battery, which might seem small when compared to similarly sized tablets like the TCL NxtPaper 14 (currently available on Amazon for $369.99), which has a larger 10,000mAh battery. However, Acer claims the battery can last up to 10 hours, although actual usage may yield different results.
Running on Android 15, the Iconia A14 comes in a single color called Vapor Silver and is anticipated to be available in Q1 2026 for €249.
