Acer has unveiled two pre-built gaming desktops during IFA 2025: the Predator Orion 5000 and the Predator Orion 7000. As the names suggest, the Orion 7000 is the more powerful model, while the Orion 5000 is the second best option. Although neither is cheap, purchasing one might be smarter than building your own, especially considering the current GPU market.

Specifications of the Orion 7000

The Predator Orion 7000 packs a punch with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. It can be equipped with up to 128 GB DDR5 RAM and boasts a massive 6 TB of solid-state storage, consisting of 1 PCIe Gen5 NVMe drive and 2 PCIe Gen4 drives. An optional 4 TB mechanical hard drive is also available. To keep the powerful Arrow Lake CPU cool, Acer has included a robust 360 mm liquid cooling system and a Predator CycloneX Fan. The system is powered by a 1,200-Watt PSU, which provides ample power for overclocking. For connectivity, the Predator Orion 7000 offers 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, five USB 3.2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Type-C ports, and three audio jacks.

Features of the Orion 5000

Now turning to the Orion 5000, it features a less potent Core Ultra 7 265F processor and switches down to an RTX 5080 GPU. While it still supports a maximum of 128 GB of memory, the storage capacity is reduced to 2 TB, using 1 PCIe Gen5 and 1 PCIe Gen4 drive, although the option for a 4 TB mechanical hard drive is still available. All other features, including I/O and network connectivity, are identical to those found in the Orion 7000. However, the power supply unit has been reduced to 850 Watts.

Pricing and Availability

The starting price for the Predator Orion 7000 is €3,999, while the Orion 5000 begins at €2,999. Both gaming desktops are set to hit the market in Q1, 2026.
