Vivo may soon introduce a new smartphone called the Vivo V40 Pro to the global market. This device could potentially be a rebranded version of the S19 Pro, which was earlier launched in China. Here is what we know about it so far.
Vivo V40 Pro Appears on NBTC
The Vivo V40 Pro was recently seen on the NBTC, a certification platform in Thailand, suggesting a global launch might be imminent. The online database listed it with the model number V2347, confirming the V40 Pro name. Unfortunately, the certification didn’t reveal specific details like specifications or pricing. However, if it’s indeed the S19 Pro, we have some insights into its hardware and features since it debuted in China last month.
Specifications and Features
The Vivo S19 Pro features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by a massive 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging.
For photography, the rear of the phone boasts a triple camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus.
Additional Features
Other notable features include IP69 water and dust resistance, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Android 14 OS with OriginOS 4 custom skin. However, it’s important to remember that this information is based on speculation and the brand has not officially confirmed the Vivo V40 Pro yet. Stay tuned for more updates on this topic.
