However, the company had actually experimented with a button-free smartphone about 1.5 years ago but decided against releasing it. Now, it seems that Xiaomi is once again preparing to introduce a device without physical buttons.

Leaving aside the ‘zhuque’ leaks, let’s dive into Xiaomi’s first buttonless smartphone, codenamed ‘Wangshu’. We have encountered some prototype images that were shared on the well-known Chinese forum, CoolAPK.

Xiaomi has a mysterious MIX smartphone named ‘Wangshu’. This prototype lacked physical buttons and featured a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Additionally, it boasted an under-screen camera and supported 200W fast charging. Analysis of the MIUI code suggests that the codename ‘Wangshu’ corresponds to this prototype MIX device.
