Now that Samsung has hinted at the Galaxy S25 Edge during the recent Galaxy S25 series launch event, fans are super excited for its release. Sadly, the South Korean tech company hasn’t given any clues about when it will be launched or what specifications it will have. However, it seems like it’s coming soon since it has received 3C certification in China.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Receives Certification

The Galaxy S25 Edge has been granted its 3C certificatoin in China. The current models in the Galaxy S25 series include the Galaxy S25 (SM-S931), Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936), and Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S938). There’s also another model with the number SM-S937 that still needs to be officially announced. This device, thought to be the Galaxy S25 Edge, has shown up in the database of China’s 3C certification authority. It has been confirmed that the phone will support 25W fast charging, but the charger will not be part of the retail package, which is becoming a common trend with Samsung’s flagship devices.

Expected Launch Timeline

The Chinese version of the Galaxy S25 Edge, with model number SM-9370, has been approved by 3C, suggesting that it might launch in the next few months. To remember, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra got their 3C approvals about four months before they were released. Therefore, we can expect the S25 Edge to be unveiled in roughly four months.

This aligns with earlier reports stating that the Galaxy S25 Edge (formerly referred to as the Galaxy S25 Slim) is likely to be revealed in May. A report from 9to5Google noted that a Samsung spokesperson indicated it should be officially announced around April.

Specifications and Features

Regarding specifications, various reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be an ultra-slim device, measuring about 6.4mm thick. It is expected to feature a 3,900mAh battery, a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, and a 6.7-inch AMOLED display.
