Huawei has unveiled a unique Red Edition to mark the Year of the Snake for the Chinese New Year. Alongside this, a new Black Edition has also been released. Both models showcase a checkered leather texture on the back. The red version highlights a shiny red finish on the camera area, which is accentuated by a striking gold outline, while the black version boasts an all-metallic black finish for a stylish appearance.
Launch Details and Promotions
The new Pura 70 Ultra color options are currently available for buying through Huawei’s official Weibo post and the online VMall store. To celebrate the launch, the first 30 customers will get FreeBuds 5i, which are priced at 599 yuan, along with a Pura 70 Fashion Handbag. These new color variants only differ in their colors and designs, while keeping the same specifications as the original Pura 70 Ultra.
Technical Specifications
The Pura 70 Ultra comes with a 6.8-inch quad-curved OLED display offering FHD+ resolution (2844 x 1260 pixels), a P3 wide color gamut, a refresh rate of 120Hz, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a pixel density of 460 PPI. It operates on HarmonyOS 4.2, with the option to upgrade to HarmonyOS NEXT after purchase.
The camera setup includes a triple-lens arrangement on the rear: a 50MP primary sensor, a 40MP ultrawide-angle lens, and a 50MP macro telephoto lens. For selfies, the front camera features a 13MP ultrawide sensor that supports various shooting modes. Moreover, the device offers satellite communication, smart payment capabilities, and AI photo-editing tools.
The Pura 70 Ultra is equipped with a 5200mAh battery, which supports 100W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, 18W wired reverse charging, and 20W wireless reverse charging. It has an IP68 rating and comes with a USB Type-C port.
