Samsung Galaxy A56, A36, A26 Earn TUV Rheinland Certification

Samsung seems to be preparing to introduce three new mid-range smartphones in its Galaxy A lineup. The Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26 have recently obtained a new certification, suggesting that their release is just around the corner.

Certification Insights

Recently, Samsung’s Galaxy A26 was identified with model numbers SM-A266B/DS, SM-A266B, SM-A266M/DS, and SM-A266M. On the other hand, the Galaxy A36 has a broader range of identifiers, including SM-A366B, SM-A336B/DS, SM-A366E, SM-A366E/DS, SM-A366U, SM-A366U1, SM-A366W, SM-S366V, and SM-A3660. The priciest of the trio, the Galaxy A56, appears in several variants as well, such as SM-A566B/DS, SM-A566B, SM-A566E/DS, and SM-A566E. While the certification does not provide detailed specs, it does confirm their fast charging capabilities. The Galaxy A26 might support 25W wired fast charging, whereas the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 are indicated to have 45W wired fast charging. Sadly, this is all the information that has been disclosed in the online listing. However, it seems that Samsung aims to launch the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 around mid-March 2025.

Performance and Design

A little while ago, the Galaxy A56 was featured on GeekBench, revealing that it runs on the Exynos 1580 SoC. These upcoming Galaxy A series models are rumored to receive a design refresh, featuring a new pill-shaped camera module on the back. The TENAA listing showcases the Galaxy A56 with this fresh design, making it resemble the rear camera setup of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
