POCO is developing a new mid-range smartphone in its M series, specifically the POCO M7 Pro 5G. Recently, this device appeared on a new certification, suggesting that a launch may be approaching. Here’s what we know up until now.
POCO M7 Pro 5G Shows Up in Indonesia
The POCO M7 Pro 5G has been detected on Indonesia's SDPPI certification site (Via TheTechOutlook), showing the model number 2409FPCC4G, where the "G" likely indicates a global version. This phone seems to be the next model after the POCO M6 Pro 5G, released in 2023. Its presence in various certifications lately suggests that the global launch is just around the corner.
What We Know About Its Features
Sadly, the Indonesian certification does not provide specific details about its specifications or features, but it does confirm the name POCO M7 Pro 5G. Back in September 2024, some of the design and specifications were disclosed through the FCC. The smartphone features a dual-tone back panel with a green marble-like texture. Additionally, it is expected to have a dual-camera setup within a rectangular module. The listing indicated support for basic connectivity options, including NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, and 5G NR bands.
Possible Specs and Release Info
This smartphone could be a simpler version of the Redmi Note 14 5G, likely featuring a 50-megapixel main camera on the back and a 1.5K AMOLED display on the front. It may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. The device is expected to operate on the company’s Android OS-based HyperOS custom skin from the outset and come with a minimum of 128GB of internal storage. Keep in mind, though, that POCO has not yet officially announced the POCO M7 Pro 5G, so be sure to stay updated for more information.
