Moto X50 Ultra Clears China Radio Certification, May Release Set

A Motorola phone bearing the model number XT2401-2 has recently obtained approval from domestic radio authorities in China, hinting at its potential identity as the upcoming moto X50 Ultra. Slated for a launch in May in China, this particular device marks Motorola's foray into Artificial Intelligence (AI) centric features.

Key Differences in the Chinese Version

While the exterior design closely resembles the moto Edge 50 Ultra available in other regions, the Chinese iteration is anticipated to introduce significant changes internally. The international variant of the moto Edge 50 Ultra is equipped with a robust Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor, touts IP68 water resistance, and showcases a striking 144Hz OLED display with a centrally positioned single-hole punchout. This curved display flaunts a resolution of 2712×1220 and an impressive brightness of 2500 nits. Its camera system is notable, featuring a triple-lens setup on the rear: a primary 50MP 1/1.3" sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens with a 72mm focal length, and a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens. Additionally, it houses a 4500 mAh battery supporting rapid 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Enhanced Focus on AI Capabilities

The moto X50 Ultra intended for the Chinese market is rumored to emphasize improvements beyond its hardware specifications. These enhancements are believed to encompass localized optimizations to its AI functionalities to enhance performance within the Chinese market, system refinements possibly tailored for popular Chinese applications and services, and the potential inclusion of Lenovo Xiaotian, a favored AI personal assistant service provided by Motorola's parent company.
