The Indian market for home projectors has a noticeable void, with most products falling into two categories: low-quality options or pricey high-end alternatives.

Lumio’s New Offerings

To fill this gap, Lumio is introducing its latest Lumio Arc projectors, the Arc 5 and Arc 7, in India. These models are tailored for the mid-range market, which has been mostly neglected in the region.

Lumio aims to tackle typical projector problems, like poor app support, unsatisfactory sound, and complicated set-up procedures.

Software and Content Access

To address software and content challenges, the Arc 5 and Arc 7 operate on Google TV and are Netflix certified. This allows users to access the extensive library of apps and content available on the Google Play Store.

For customer support, Lumio has set up a service network with more than 200 locations across India and offers a 1-year warranty on the projectors.

Specifications of Arc 5

The Lumio Arc 5 is a lightweight projector designed for bedrooms, dorms, or travel needs. It weighs only 1.33 kg and can project images in Full HD 1080p HDR10 format, reaching sizes up to 100 inches.

Its brightness is rated at 200 ANSI lumens. In terms of audio, it features 5W speakers with Dolby Audio support and dual passive radiators, enhancing bass performance.

Specifications of Arc 7

The Arc 7 is the stronger option, built for larger living spaces. It boosts brightness to 400 ANSI lumens and has a more advanced sound system, including two 8W stereo speakers and a bigger passive radiator for superior audio quality.

Similar to the Arc 5, it also supports projections up to 100 inches. Both projectors are equipped with a sealed ArcLight Engine, designed to keep dust away from the optics, ensuring consistent image quality over time.

Internal Features

Inside, both projectors utilize the MediaTek 9630 chip, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. This chip features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU and a Mali-G52 GPU, which supports 4K content decoding and HDR capabilities.

To enhance user experience, both models come with a Time-of-Flight sensor for automatic adjustments. This allows for features like instant autofocus, auto-keystone correction, and obstacle avoidance.

Innovative Technology

Lumio labels this technology as “STR8 (Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration).” The company has also created a new remote called the Minion Noir, which includes dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and YouTube.

Additionally, the remote features a button for TLDR, Lumio’s dashboard for real-time sports updates and music content.
