Lenovo has launched its new mini PC, the ThinkCentre Neo Ultra, which aims to deliver high performance in a small package. You can now buy it in China on JD.com. Let’s take a look at its main features.
Key Features of ThinkCentre Neo Ultra
The ThinkCentre Neo Ultra mini PC is equipped with powerful hardware options, including the 14th Generation Intel Core i5-14500, i7-14700, and an upcoming i9-14900 version. These processors are built for excellent multitasking and high performance, with the i7-14700 offering up to 20 cores and 28 threads, while the i9-14900 includes 24 cores and 32 threads. They can reach a turbo boost clock speed of up to 5.8 GHz, making them great for demanding computational tasks.
The system is combined with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD, ensuring quick data access and plenty of storage space. It also features an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU that operates at 115W full power, equipped with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, which allows for smooth 3D rendering, ray tracing, and high-performance gaming experiences.
Cooling and AI Capabilities
For cooling and efficiency, the Neo Ultra utilizes ICE 7.0 thermal management, which includes advanced turbine fans and triple-layer ice blades for optimal heat dissipation. This system maintains a quiet operation while providing a 5% increase in thermal performance compared to the previous model.
To handle AI-heavy tasks, the Neo Ultra makes use of hybrid compute architecture, which merges the CPU's power with an optional Neural Processing Unit (NPU), offering up to 30 TOPS of AI-specific processing power. This allows for real-time handling of AI workloads such as data analysis, local AI inference, and smart applications.
The device features a compact CNC-machined aluminum case with an integrated 350W power supply, providing durability and excellent heat conduction. It comes with various connectivity options, such as USB 3.2, Type-C, HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, and Wi-Fi 6E, allowing for easy integration into any setup. The Neo Ultra can support up to 7 independent display outputs for better multitasking.
