iQOO 11 has just gotten the OriginOS 5 update (version 15.2.7.0.W10.V000L1) in China, bringing a host of cool features and performance boosts. This long-awaited update enhances various areas, like smart assistance, tweaks to the user interface, better connectivity, and improved system stability.
New Features in the Update
The update brings the Xiao V Screen Assistant, a clever tool that gives quick answers to questions about what’s on the screen, making multitasking and accessibility easier for users. It also enhances permissions management, adding a new feature in Device Motion and Orientation settings that allows users to limit app access based on whether the screen is on, which helps increase control over data privacy.
Enhanced User Experience
Another addition is a simplified small-window mode that lets users shrink control buttons into a compact top bar, allowing for smoother app interactions during multitasking. Users can turn on this feature via the Shortcuts and Assistance settings menu. Various system improvements include better network stability, fixes for sporadic WLAN Direct problems, improved Bluetooth connectivity for better car compatibility, and refreshed icon and button designs in Atomic Island for a more refined look.

The iQOO 11 has also seen updates with versions 2.8.8 and 2.9.0, which added home screen customization, enhancements to the Atomic Widget, and integration with Meituan Food Delivery. These updates boost system stability, fix minor bugs, and include the January 2025 Google security patch for enhanced safety. Launched in 2023, the iQOO 11 boasts a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ Samsung E6 AMOLED display with a 144Hz LTPO 4.0 refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and advanced cooling tech.
