Exciting Features in the Update

Among the new features are three film-inspired filters for both Photo and Portrait modes: Fresh, Retro, and Transparent. These filters aim to give users a more creative and engaging photography experience, allowing for capturing moments with greater depth and flair.

New Functionalities and Enhancements

The update also adds Fluid Cloud support to the OnePlus Ace 2, providing real-time visual updates for charging and flashlight status. Additionally, the Calendar app has been redesigned with new cards for tracking birthdays, anniversaries, and countdowns, making daily planning more personal and convenient.

Improved connectivity is another highlight, with better wireless stability and compatibility for a dependable user experience. Several system issues have been resolved too, such as missing app icons, glitches in cloned applications, and the lack of Gaussian blur in dynamic wallpapers when viewing recent tasks.

Enhanced System Performance

This update significantly boosts system performance. It aims to reduce lag in certain situations, enhance stability, and prolong battery life. All these improvements are crafted to enhance the user’s overall experience, making the OnePlus Ace 2 feel quicker and more trustworthy during everyday tasks.

Launched in 2023, the OnePlus Ace 2 boasts a 6.74-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display with peak brightness of up to 1450 nits. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, available with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, along with advanced VC cooling for optimized gaming performance, supporting over 100 games at 120fps. The design is inspired by a black hole aesthetic and features Gorilla Glass 5 protection, alongside a three-stage slider.

The device features a primary 50MP Sony IMX890 camera equipped with OIS, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. It also contains a robust 5000mAh battery with 100W SuperVooc charging, which can fully recharge in just 25 minutes.

At present, the ColorOS 15 update is gradually being rolled out to various Oppo devices, including the Oppo Reno12 and Reno11 series, as well as the Find N3 and Find N3 Flip, among others. The rollout schedule may differ, with other models like the Find X5 Pro and Reno10 series expected to receive the update in the first and second quarters of 2025.
