Apple's Next Generation M3 MacBook Air and Refreshed iPad Models Set for Early 2024 Launch
Apple is gearing up to release its highly anticipated M3 MacBook Air with enhanced specifications, along with refreshed iPad models. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has provided insights into the potential launch timeline for these two product lines.
Apple's Plan to Boost Sales
According to Gurman, Apple plans to release the new MacBooks and iPads simultaneously. The tech giant has been experiencing a decline in sales for its Mac and iPad devices, and the introduction of these new products is expected to stimulate demand. In addition to the new gadgets, Apple is also developing macOS 14.3, which is likely to be launched alongside the new MacBooks. This aligns with our previous report on the timeline for the new iPad models.
Expanded Product Line
The report reveals that Apple will introduce two size options for the iPad Air for the first time ever, in addition to a new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air. Another significant announcement expected next year is the OLED iPad Pro. Apple's latest M3 series processors, including the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max, will power the new MacBook Air models. These chips were previously used in the recently launched MacBook Pro lineup.
Building on Previous Design
While Apple redesigned the MacBook Air in 2022, no significant design changes are expected for the M3 MacBook Air in 2024. However, the newer models will feature improved hardware. Gurman's information is based on insights from industry sources, and as of now, this is all the information available regarding the early 2024 launch. Stay tuned for further updates on this matter.
