New 2a Case Leak Bolsters Initial Design Rumor for the Nothing Phone

The upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) has been subject to both misleading leaks and potentially revealing ones. Recently, a series of seemingly fake renders added confusion to the speculation surrounding the device.

A New Leak Suggests Initial Design Leaks Might Be Accurate

However, a new leak – this time in the form of an alleged phone case – suggests that initial design leaks might have been accurate after all. These case images were shared on SlashLeaks.

We can see the Phone (2a) case featuring a camera setup positioned horizontally. This lines up with previous design speculations, leading us to think they could be on the mark. If accurate, this would be a notable departure from the vertical camera modules seen on previous Nothing Phones.

An Inconsistency with the Case Design

However, there’s one inconsistency with the case design — it lacks any cutouts for the Nothing Phone’s iconic Glyph LED interface. So we are still not sure if this indeed is a Phone (2a) case.

Nothing Will Officially Reveal Phone (2a)’s Details Today

We may find more concrete answers soon, as Nothing will officially reveal Phone (2a)’s details today at 3:30 PM IST. While it’s unclear exactly what will be revealed, it could shed light on the phone’s design and potentially confirm some features.

Speculations on Nothing Phone (2a)’s Features

The Nothing Phone (2a) is speculated to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, offering up to 12GB of RAM, and a storage capacity of 256GB. All eyes are now on Nothing to see if today’s announcement brings these rumors closer to reality.

Leak Reveals Key Specifications of Vivo V30 Pro: Three 50MP Cameras, 120Hz OLED Display, 512GB Storage, and More.

According to recent rumors, Vivo is expected to unveil the Vivo V30 Pro either later this month or in March. Speculations suggest that this upcoming device will share similarities with the Vivo S18 Pro, which was launched in China in December 2023. Recently, a device believed to be the V30 Pro, identified as V2319, was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Contrary to expectations, the listing indicated that it would feature the Dimensity 8200 chipset instead of the Dimensity 9200+. Furthermore, a new leak from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has disclosed additional specifications of the V30 Pro, highlighting differences between it and the S18 Pro.

    Vivo V30 Pro specifications (rumored)

As per the tipster, the Vivo V30 Pro has a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED panel that offers a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will come preloaded with FunTouch OS 14-based Android 14.

Under the hood, the Vivo V30 Pro will feature the Dimensity 8200 chipset. It will arrive in a single configuration that offers 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of built-in storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging support.

    Camera and Comparison

The leak further claims that the V30 Pro has a 50-megapixel camera on the front. While it is not mentioned in the leak, it may likely have support for autofocus. On the back, the device will feature a ZEISS co-branded camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera.

In comparison, the Vivo S18 Pro’s camera has a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. So, apart from using a different chipset and a different telephoto camera, the rest of the specs could be identical on both phones.

  • OnePlus 12R Officially Confirmed to Feature UFS 3.1 Storage, Not UFS 4.0

OnePlus 12R Officially Confirmed to Feature UFS 3.1 Storage, Not UFS 4.0

The OnePlus 12R made its global debut last month, but it seems that there was a mistake in the initial information provided by the brand. OnePlus had initially claimed that the smartphone featured UFS 4.0 storage technology on some variants, but it has now been clarified that this is not the case. OnePlus president and COO Kinder Liu made a public announcement on the company’s official forum, acknowledging the error.

OnePlus 12R has UFS 3.1 storage

According to Liu, OnePlus made a mistake in stating that the OnePlus 12R had UFS 4.0 storage. The correct information is that the OnePlus 12R actually features UFS 3.1 storage on all variants. While UFS 4.0 is found on the flagship OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 12R has the older UFS 3.1 storage type, which has slower read and write speeds. However, UFS 3.1 is still present on older flagships like the OnePlus 11. In addition, the UFS 3.1 on the OnePlus 12R is enhanced by the new Trinity Engine, which has been fully tested on the device. This engine is claimed to launch apps faster than ever and keep applications locked open for up to 72 hours. The OnePlus 12R is available in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

OnePlus plans to address the issue for OnePlus 12R owners

For customers who have already purchased the OnePlus 12R, OnePlus has acknowledged the mistake and is working on the next steps to address the issue. More information will be revealed on February 15, and there is a possibility that OnePlus will compensate buyers for the error.

Second sale of OnePlus 12R begins with attractive offers

Meanwhile, the second sale of the OnePlus 12R has started today. Interested buyers can take advantage of an extra Rs 4,000 exchange bonus on the purchase of the smartphone on Amazon. Additionally, there is a Rs 1,000 discount available on select bank cards, making the OnePlus 12R even more enticing for potential buyers.

  • Google Introduces New Features to Enhance Android’s Cohesion Across Devices

Google Introduces New Features to Enhance Android’s Cohesion Across Devices

Google Enhances Android Devices with New Features

Google is making strides in improving the connectivity and functionality of Android devices, following in the footsteps of Apple’s innovation. The tech giant is focusing on enhancing user-friendliness and connectivity among Android devices, as seen in recent updates to Google Play services.

    Introducing “Devices and Sharing”

The updated version, 24.06.12, introduces an improved “cross-device service” now known as “Devices and Sharing.” This update brings three practical features that have the potential to revolutionize how we use our devices: call transfer, hotspot sharing, and Wi-Fi sharing.

    Call Transfer

The call transfer feature allows users to seamlessly move a call from one device to another without dropping the call. This feature requires both devices to be linked to the same Google account. With call transfer, users can easily switch between devices without interruptions.

    Hotspot Sharing

Hotspot sharing simplifies the process of controlling another device’s Wi-Fi hotspot connection. Users can use one device to manage the Wi-Fi hotspot connection of another device, making it more convenient and efficient to share internet access.

    Wi-Fi Sharing

Wi-Fi sharing makes it easier to share Wi-Fi passwords between devices. Users can now share Wi-Fi passwords between devices without the need for QR code sharing. This feature ensures that staying connected to Wi-Fi networks is simpler than ever before.

    Upcoming Feature: Device Groups

Google is not stopping at the aforementioned features. They are also working on a feature called “Device Groups.” This upcoming feature will allow users to group multiple devices under one Google account, enabling new levels of interaction between them. By creating device groups, users can seamlessly connect and control their devices, enhancing the overall user experience.

    Google Challenges Apple’s Dominance

With these updates, Google is clearly striving to create a more seamless and integrated experience for Android users, challenging Apple’s dominance in the “ecosystem” arena. These improvements are expected to make life with Android devices more cohesive, user-friendly, and connected.

In conclusion, Google is making significant advancements in improving the connectivity and user experience of Android devices. The introduction of “Devices and Sharing” and its practical features, along with the upcoming “Device Groups” feature, demonstrate Google’s commitment to creating a more seamless and interconnected ecosystem for Android users. These updates are set to revolutionize the way we use our Android devices, making them more user-friendly and integrated.
