  • Xiaomi 18 Pro: Leica Camera Upgrade Rumored for Flagship

Xiaomi 18 Pro: Leica Camera Upgrade Rumored for Flagship

    Key Takeaway

    – Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will feature larger, brighter, higher-resolution rear AMOLED displays (up to 4 inches).
    – The second display upgrade is made possible by reducing bezels compared to the Xiaomi 17 Pro generation.
    – Focus is shifting from 200MP cameras to enhancing the distinctive rear panel display.
    – Details on a “Privacy Protection” feature are unclear and may resemble Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra technology.
    – All information comes from a single Weibo leaker (Smart Pikachu) and should be treated with caution.

    Xiaomi’s New Flagship Plans Leak

Neither the Xiaomi 17 Pro nor the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max made it to Europe, and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has to give up the practical second display on the back in favor of a better camera. In the fall, with September already effectively confirmed, their successors are set to arrive, and they could target customers worldwide and sport significant upgrades.

Focus on 200MP Cameras and Back Displays

So far, the focus has primarily been on the two 200MP cameras, but Xiaomi is apparently also working on further upgrades related to the distinctive second display on the back. At least that is what a leaker on Weibo claims, who does not have the same excellent track record as Digital Chat Station but has also been right quite often in the past.

    Larger and Brighter AMOLED Panels

According to Smart Pikachu, the AMOLED panels on the back of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will not only be significantly brighter and higher-resolution but also larger. Specifically, 4-inch displays are mentioned. That would be considerably larger than the 2.7-inch panel on the Xiaomi 17 Pro or the 2.9-inch display on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. This could potentially be made possible by reducing the bezels, which were comparatively thick on the Xiaomi 17 Pro generation.

    Privacy Features and Caution Advised

It is not yet clear what is meant by “Privacy Protection”. It could possibly refer to technology similar to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, though that would make more sense on the front. These details should still be treated with caution, especially since they have not yet been corroborated by other leakers.

OnePlus 10,000mAh Phone Leaks With New Snapdragon Chip

    Key Takeaway

    – OnePlus is developing a performance-focused successor to the Ace 6T, likely called the Ace 7T.
    – The device is rumored to feature a massive 10,000mAh battery.
    – It may be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 chipset.
    – A 185Hz LTPS display with “1.5K” resolution is also tipped.
    – The phone could launch globally as the OnePlus 15R.

So OnePlus has officially confirmed they’re bringing the affordable Turbo 6X series to China. A well known tipster called Digital Chat Station over on Weibo has now leaked some details about a new OnePlus phone they’ve ben working on.

Mystery performance device with huge battery

The exact model name of this handset hasn’t been disclosed yet, but according to the source it’s going to be positoned as a performance-centric device. Many believe it could be part of the Ace lineup, possibly serving as the direct successor to the OnePlus Ace 6T which was released back in December 2025. That older model was a beast with its 165Hz screen and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

For those who dident know, the OnePlus Ace 6T was also rebranded for global markets as the OnePlus 15R, retailing at around $699 on Amazon. Now the new leak suggests the potential OnePlus Ace 7T might feature a massive 10,000mAh battery, wich is a huge upgrade for users who need all-day longevity. The device is also expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 chipset, the next generation after last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

    Display tech and chipset upgrades

Further more, the leak points to a 185Hz LTPS display with what they call a “1.5K” resolution, wich should make for super smooth scrolling and gaming. Apart from this phone, a previous leak already revealed the key highlights of the standard OnePlus Ace 7. That model might feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and an active cooling fan to keep things chill under load.

The original source for all of this is 数码闲聊站 on Weibo, writing in Chinese. Its exciting to see OnePlus pushing boundries with such large batteries and high refresh rates, although we still dont have a confirmed launch date for the Ace 7T yet.

  • Galaxy S27 Pro to Match S27 Ultra in Another Key Area

Galaxy S27 Pro to Match S27 Ultra in Another Key Area

    Key Takeaway

    – Galaxy S27 Pro may feature a 5,000 mAh battery, matching the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s capacity.
    – Its 6.47-inch display is slightly smaller than the Ultra, potentially offering better battery life.
    – The Pro model is rumored to share the same primary and ultra-wide sensors as the Ultra.
    – These specifications are based on leaks and are not officially confirmed.

The Galaxy S27 Pro is shaping up to be a powerhouse, borrowing some features from the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Of course, all these specifications are only rumors at this point, but a new leak has hinted at another upgrade for the Galaxy S27 Pro, despite its smaller size compared to the Ultra. This device is suppose to give users high-end performance without the massive footprint.

    Battery Life and Display Specs

Late last month, we learnt that the Galaxy S27 Pro will come with a 6.47-inch display. This makes it 0.2 inches larger than the Galaxy S27 and 0.2 inches smaller than the Galaxy S27 Plus. Compared to the Galaxy S27 Ultra, it is 0.4 inches smaller, but apparently, that smaller size hasn’t stopped Samsung from packing the same size battery. As per leaker kro on X, the Galaxy S27 Pro will come with a 5,000 mAh battery.

    Same Battery as the Ultra

While the leaker doesn’t mention the Galaxy S27 Pro by name, they mention “Galaxy Pro” and a 6.5-inch screen size, which lines up with the Galaxy S27 Pro. This puts the battery capacity of the Pro model at the same level as the Galaxy S27 Ultra, also expected to come with 5,000 mAh. This should, however, translate to even better battery life than the Ultra, due to its efficiency in a smaller chassis, the phone will likely last longer on a single charge.

    Camera and Size Comparisons

Along with the same battery capacity, the Pro model and the Ultra are also expected to come with the same new primary and ultra-wide sensors. This means the Pro wont sacrifice camera quality for size, making it a fantastic choice for photographers who prefer a compact device. Seeing as how the 6.5-inch (or 6.47-inch) Galaxy S27 Pro can come with a 5,000 mAh battery, the larger Galaxy S27 Plus should also come with at least 5,000 mAh. We’ll have to wait till February next year for official confirmation, but the leaks are looking promising for Samsung fans.

Confidential iPhone 18 Pro Leaks Reveal Vibrant New Colors

    Key Takeaway

    – Two distinct sources reveal design models and alleged iPhone 18 Pro components.
    – Potential colors: Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Black, and returning Silver.
    – Design appears identical to iPhone 17 Pro from the rear.
    – Leak suggests Apple is experimenting with bolder, more vivid colorways.
    – Authenticity of parts is unconfirmed; final colors may be toned down for retail.

iPhone 18 Pro Leak Reveals Stunning New Colors and Design Details

There has been a whole lot of leaks and rumours regarding the iPhone 18 Pro that keep coming, and now two distinct sources have shared the clearest images yet of design models along with alleged iPhone 18 Pro components. As you might of guessed, these images offer a fresh view of the possible colours for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, which could be Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Black, and the returning Silver colour from the iPhone 17 Pro lineup.

Design Models Indicate Apple’s Shift to Bolder Color Choices

The design model images originate from a source which has a track record of accurate leaks and phone reviews in the past. They provide a exceptionally clear view of the iPhone 18 Pro’s alleged design, which appears completely identical to the iPhone 17 Pro, at least when viewing from the rear. While the vividness of these dummy units seems somewhat unusual for Apple’s premium flagships, the earlier example set by the “Cosmic Orange” iPhone 17 Pro suggests that Apple is becoming more willing to experiment with bold and fun paint jobs for there Pro series devices.

Alleged iPhone 18 Pro Parts Surface Online, Adding Credibility

The second part of this leak is actually more controversial, because it allegedly shows real iPhone 18 Pro components, specifically the rear panel of the phone. The images show complete sets that include SIM card trays and screws, which is quite detailed. Of course, it is completely impossible to confirm if these parts are genuine or if they are intended for early testing prototypes and not final production units. Nevertheless, the colours seen in the dummy models and the back panel images seem to align quite closely, especially regarding the saturated and vivid tones of the Light Blue and Dark Cherry colour options.

Overall, the newest iPhone 18 Pro leaks have raised hopes that Apple might finally give iPhone owners a option of at least two bold new colourways that accompany the standard Black and Silver options. Whether these vivid hues will actually make it to the final units or if they will be toned down for the official retail release remains to be seen. We expect to get definitive answers once the iPhone 18 Pro series, and the rumoured foldable iPhone Ultra, make there official debut this coming September. Sahil Karoul, Pipfix

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8: Cost-Cutting Design Switch

    Key Takeaway

    – Galaxy Z Flip 8 will have both Exynos and Snapdragon chip variants, a first for the Flip series
    – Dual-chip strategy mirrors Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy S series regional distribution
    – Using Exynos is more expensive for Samsung than Snapdragon, driving the cost-cutting shift
    – Expected chips include Exynos 2600 and a Snapdragon model, though exact specs are unconfirmed
    – Regional splits likely remain: Snapdragon in US/China/Japan, Exynos in Europe/India/Korea

    Next-Gen Samsung Foldables Nearing Launch

The upcoming generation of Samsung’s foldable devices is set to debut next month, bringing with it some shifts in the lineup structure and naming conventions. Among these new models is the Galaxy Z Flip 8, which represents the most compact option of the three planned devices. Interestingly, this smaller flip phone is now anticapated to recieve the same dual-chip treatment that has been reserved for its larger sibling, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. This marks a notable change from previous years.

    Dual Chip Strategy Confirmed

Based on fresh information from a credible leaker known as Lanzuk, or yeux1122, over on the Naver blog, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be offered in two distinct versions. One variant will feature Samsung’s own in-house Exynos SoC, while the other will utilise Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset. For context, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 was the very first device in the Flip lineup to adopt an Exynos chip, and it was sold exclusively with that processor. Now, it appears Samsung plans to introduce regional variants for the Z Flip 8, which is a common tactic.

    Cost Efficiency Drives Decision

This regional chip distribution plan is pretty typical for the Galaxy Z Fold series and the Galaxy S series flagships, which have long used this split approach. As it turns out, the cost for Samsung to manufacture and use its own Exynos SoC in phones is actually higher than buying Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips from third-party suppliers. Given the current global market conditions and with many companies desperately trying to reduce production costs wherever they can, it simply don’t seem economically smart for Samsung to stick with only Exynos chips for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 this time around.

    Expected Chipset Details

While the leaker hasn’t provided the exact model number for the SoC, its largely expected that the in-house chip will be the Exynos 2600. This particular processor isn’t new to the rumor mill, as it has been tipped for the upcoming foldable several times already. Typically, Samsung ships its Snapdragon variants to regions like the United States, Canada, China, and Japan. Meanwhile, the Exynos versions are generally sold in Europe, India, and Samsung’s home country of South Korea. Whether this same pattern holds true for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is something we’ll have to wait and see.

    Market Context and Pricing

It remains to be seen how this shift in chip strategy will affect the final pricing of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 compared to its predecessor. The dual-chip approach could allow Samsung to better manage its supply chain and potentially offer more competitive pricing in certain markets. For reference, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 was previously offered exclusively with the Exynos chip, but the new model may see a more varied distribution depending on where it is sold. The leaker’s report suggests that Samsung is adapting to economic pressures by optimising its component sourcing.
