BYD Teases “Leopard 3” Electric Off-road Car Launching April 16

BYD subsidiary Fangbao will unveil their latest electric off-road vehicle, known as Leopard 3, at their Spring Conference scheduled for April 16th. A teaser poster has been unveiled giving an indication of what can be expected with regard to this EV launch but without giving away all its key details.

Introduce of Leopard 3

The Leopard 3 is described as an all-electric "hardcore" SUV built on BYD's DMO super hybrid off-road platform. While still boasting robust capabilities, its body size will be smaller compared to that of its larger brother the Leopard 5. Positioning this third member as part of Fang Leopard's "583 hardcore family", suggesting there could be multiple similar rugged electric SUVs within their lineup.

Sniffer photos show that the Leopard 3 will resemble a smaller iteration of its larger sibling, the Leopard 5. Family design elements, such as sleek through-type daytime running lights are expected to remain intact while sporting black grille and striking front surround, exuding off-road charm.
