Lenovo has broadened the global availability of its ThinkPad L16 Gen 3, now equipping the 16-inch business laptop with Intel Core Ultra 200-series processors. The expanded rollout follows the recent evaluation of the Gen 2 model on AMD’s Zen 4 platform and arrives as the product line transitions toward newer Zen 5 and Panther Lake architectures.

Processor Options and Performance Tiers

Configurations currently span from the Core Ultra 5 325 up to the Core Ultra 7 356H, with the Core Ultra 7 365 also listed on Lenovo’s PSREF database. Internal benchmark data indicates a performance gap of roughly 25 percent between these two processor families, though the difference narrows when comparing the Core Ultra 7 356H with mid-range alternatives such as the Core Ultra 5 336H.

Memory, Storage and Security Features

The Intel-based ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 supports up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM across dual SODIMM slots and offers a choice between 46.5 Wh and 57 Wh batteries. Storage is handled by a single M.2 2280 slot, configurable with up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage. Optional hardware includes a backlit keyboard, an infrared webcam, a fingerprint scanner, and a Smart Card Reader. The display, however, is limited to a 1200p IPS panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of peak brightness, and 45 percent NTSC color space coverage.

Pricing and Regional Availability

Entry-level pricing for the device starts at AUD 1,888 in Australia, HKD 11,894 in Hong Kong, MYR 5,745 in Malaysia, SGD 2,035 in Singapore, and €1,489 (approximately $1,704) in the Eurozone. Costs rise substantially when selecting higher-tier processors, increased RAM, or additional storage. Full configuration details are available on Lenovo’s regional websites.
