Microsoft has introduced a time-sensitive incentive for buyers considering its latest premium Surface computers. Through a new bundle, qualifying purchases of select Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models will include a pair of Sony WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones, valued at $458, at no additional cost.
Which Devices Are Eligible
The promotion is confined to specific high-end configurations across three recent devices: the Surface Pro 13-inch 12th Edition, the Surface Laptop 13.8-inch 8th Edition, and the Surface Laptop 15-inch 8th Edition. Entry-level models within these lines do not qualify.
Pricing thresholds apply. The Surface Pro must be configured at $2,099.99 or above, despite the line starting at $1,499.99. For the Surface Laptop 13.8-inch, eligibility begins with configurations priced at $1,999, while the 15-inch model requires a configuration of at least $2,199. These minimums position the offer squarely in the upper tier of Microsoft’s consumer hardware range, which aligns with the Sony headphones’ positioning as a current flagship noise-canceling product.
How the Redemption Process Works
The headphones will not ship alongside the laptop. Microsoft states that buyers will receive a redemption code via the email address used at purchase within seven days. That code must then be claimed through Sony’s website, after which Sony will dispatch the headphones directly to the customer. Microsoft has set a final redemption deadline of December 31, 2026, giving buyers a lengthy window to complete the step.
Timing and Availability
The promotion is scheduled to run through July 31, but Microsoft cautions that it could conclude earlier if the allocated inventory of headphones runs out. While bundles of this type are not unusual in the premium Windows laptop segment, the inclusion of a recently released, highly rated accessory without a price increase adds significant perceived value for buyers already evaluating machines at these price points.
