UK pricing has now emerged for Samsung’s next wave of foldable devices, following an earlier disclosure of Eurozone figures. According to information shared by Roland Quandt, British buyers can expect the Galaxy Z Flip8 to launch at £1,049, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will carry price tags of £1,699 and £1,899 respectively. All three base configurations are said to include 256 GB of internal storage, though early purchase incentives such as a free storage upgrade to 512 GB may accompany the release.

A renamed lineup and a shift in positioning

At first glance, the Galaxy Z Fold8 appears to undercut its direct predecessor by £100. That initial impression is misleading, however. The standard Fold8 is widely expected to be the retail name for a long-rumoured smaller and wider book-style foldable, an entirely new entry in the series rather than a straightforward sequel. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, by contrast, is understood to be the true successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold7.

This restructuring means Samsung is effectively introducing a more accessible horizontal foldable while moving its flagship large-screen model into a premium Ultra tier. The £200 gap between the two Fold8 variants in the UK mirrors a similar strategy already suggested by the previously leaked €100 price increase across the Eurozone for the Flip and Fold families.

Global price increases look inevitable

Taken together, the leak points toward a uniform global price adjustment for Samsung’s foldable range, rather than adjustments confined to specific regions. Both the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip8 and the book-style Ultra model are on track to become more expensive at launch than the devices they replace, a move that reflects the expanded hardware options and new naming hierarchy Samsung is preparing to roll out.
