OnePlus is reportedly preparing the next generation of its performance-focused Ace smartphone series, and early specifications for the OnePlus Ace 7 have begun to emerge through industry sources. The device is expected to continue the line’s emphasis on high-refresh-rate displays and large batteries, while introducing a notable new cooling feature.
Next-generation processor and active cooling
According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 7 may be powered by a flagship chipset from Qualcomm’s upcoming portfolio—either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (SM8850) or a slightly toned-down variant designated SM8850Q. Both are built on a 3nm process architecture. For reference, the full-performance Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 also drives the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15T. In a distinct move for the series, the Ace 7 is tipped to include a built-in cooling fan, suggesting OnePlus is targeting sustained peak performance under heavy loads.
Display, battery, and fast charging
The display is said to measure 6.78 inches, delivering a “1.5K” resolution and an ultra-smooth 185Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will be a substantial battery with a capacity around 9,000mAh, supported by either 100W or 120W wired fast charging. These figures point to a handset designed for extended gaming sessions and rapid top-ups.
A Pro model with periscope zoom
Sources also mention a OnePlus Ace 7 Pro variant, which would differentiate itself with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The module is expected to use Samsung’s JN5 sensor and offer 3.5x optical zoom, bringing a meaningful optical reach upgrade over the standard model.
No launch timeline has been confirmed yet. However, the preceding OnePlus Ace 6 series debuted in China in October 2025, making a similar October window plausible for the Ace 7 lineup. For now, OnePlus has not publicly commented on the leaks, and specifications remain subject to change ahead of any official announcement.
