Competition in Europe’s electric vehicle market has sharpened considerably, and Xpeng is entering the fray with a new model designed to challenge established players on price. The Chinese automaker has formally confirmed that its L03, a coupe-style electric SUV, will launch in Germany with four battery-electric variants, with deliveries expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Pricing and segment positioning

The entry-level L03 RWD Standard Range is priced at €35,600, placing it noticeably below several key rivals. By comparison, the current Tesla Model Y starts at €39,990, the Skoda Elroq begins at €37,390, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 commands a base price of €45,750. Even in its most accessible form, the L03 is equipped with a 241 hp rear-wheel-drive system and a lithium iron phosphate battery, which delivers a WLTP range of 277 miles.

Battery, performance and charging

For customers seeking greater range, the L03 RWD Long Range is listed at €38,600 and provides 323 miles on a single charge. A dual-motor AWD Performance variant follows at €41,600, generating 382 hp and accelerating from 0 to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds. The range-topping all-electric version is the AWD Performance Ultra, priced at €46,600; it adds partially automated driving capability and massaging front seats. All battery-electric variants are built on a 400-volt architecture that supports DC fast charging at up to 236 kW, allowing the battery to go from 20% to 80% capacity in approximately 18 minutes.

Extended-range option and equipment

Xpeng has also confirmed that a range-extender electric vehicle (REEV) variant will join the lineup several months after the initial launch. According to the manufacturer, the REEV will offer a combined WLTP range of up to 621 miles. Standard interior features across the range include a large central infotainment screen, integrated Google Maps and a panoramic glass roof, underscoring Xpeng’s focus on combining competitive pricing with robust technology.
