Infold Games has released a major content update for its open-world dress-up adventure, Infinity Nikki. Titled “Golden Dust,” Version 2.8 introduces fresh story chapters and the new explorable city of Heaven’s Reach, but the highlight is a transformative 5-star outfit that fundamentally expands platforming and exploration.
A Mechanical Ballerina’s Movement Revolution
The marquee addition is the “White Night’s Ballet” set, built around a mechanical ballerina motif and carrying a distinct main attribute. Its signature ability, Spinning Reflections, grants Nikki two unprecedented traversal methods: wall-climbing and water-surface movement. Once activated, the ability boosts her movement speed and allows her to slide seamlessly up vertical surfaces on contact, sustaining upward motion instead of colliding with the wall. While in this heightened state, she can also leap over obstacles in her path, though the ability remains disabled in uncleared dungeons.
A Personal Mirror Realm on Water
Alongside the enhanced movement, the outfit unlocks the Brightnight Mirror Realm, a deployable zone that can be placed directly on water. Inside this reflective space, Nikki can slide freely, and players can toggle her movement posture using the “Airy Dance” option available in the sidebar. The realm introduces a social styling feature as well: players can spawn Mirror Shadows within it, and approaching a Shadow illuminates it for interaction. Through that interaction, users can change its outfit, inspect its styling, try on the look themselves, or invite a friend to try it on. The Brightnight Mirror Realm does come with location restrictions—it cannot be deployed in certain stages or inside the Mira Crown Merit Arena.
Evolution and Availability
Completing the “White Night’s Ballet” set unlocks evolution rewards that deepen its expressive potential, adding new emotes and dance actions at later evolution tiers. The set appears on the “Through Songbound Night” Limited-Time Resonance banner, which runs through August 27, 2026. For players attending Gamescom—where rival developer HoYoverse is planning a large showcase featuring Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, and the debuts of Honkai: Nexus Anima and Petit Planet from August 26–30—Infinity Nikki’s timing underscores a lively competitive moment for live-service open-world titles.
