Ayaneo has offered a fresh look at its upcoming retro-styled handheld, the Konkr Pocket Advance, a device that explicitly channels the design language of Nintendo’s classic Game Boy Advance. The manufacturer has now shared additional images that reveal a new color option and provide the first official view of the hardware’s rear layout.
New Indigo variant and rear design details
Newly released visuals show the Konkr Pocket Advance in a shade strongly reminiscent of the original Game Boy Advance’s Indigo hue. This joins an earlier-revealed Orange version, a colorway inspired by a Japan-exclusive variant of the original handheld. Both versions feature predominantly white face buttons. The rear of the device is curved and ribbed for grip, incorporates visible air vents for thermal management, and houses stereo speakers. Also clearly visible are a volume wheel, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a USB-C port, confirming core I/O expectations for a modern retro portable.
Controls and shoulder button layout
A separate image posted by Ayaneo highlights details along the top edge of the device. The Konkr Pocket Advance includes large L1 and R1 shoulder buttons, while the L2 and R2 triggers are noticeably smaller and sit inline, rather than stacked. A button marked “LC” is positioned below the left trigger, mirroring the programmable function key found on the Pocket Micro 2, which strongly suggests a matching “RC” button will be present on the right side. An additional unlabeled white button sits beside the R2 trigger, though its purpose has not yet been explained.
Ayaneo has not yet disclosed the internal specifications, pricing, or exact launch date for the Konkr Pocket Advance. The company is expected to release further details gradually in the lead-up to its official debut, leaving the handheld’s performance profile and market positioning open to speculation for now.
