HP has officially brought its Snapdragon-powered EliteBook 6 to the US market, releasing the configuration first announced in March alongside Intel and AMD-based variants. The 14-inch EliteBook 6 G2q is positioned as a more accessible sibling to the premium EliteBook X G2q that debuted earlier this year.

Pricing and Initial Availability

The new model enters the American market with pre-configured pricing that spans from $3,540 to $4,639. Currently, HP has not activated a fully customizable build option, leaving buyers to choose among seven fixed stock keeping units on the company’s US storefront. The device cannot yet be found through official channels in the Eurozone or the United Kingdom.

Core Specifications and Processor Options

At the entry point, the EliteBook 6 G2q equips the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 processor, 32 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD, and a 1200p IPS display rated at 300 nits of brightness. Higher-tier configurations step up to the Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-84-100 and add 5G cellular connectivity, all while drawing from a 56 Wh battery. Every one of the seven listed SKUs shares the same 16:10 IPS panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Panel Variants on the Horizon

HP’s documentation indicates more display variety will follow the initial batch of systems. Planned panel upgrades include 120 Hz variable refresh rate screens, OLED technology, and brighter IPS options capable of reaching 800 nits peak luminance. For now, the uniform display spec remains a notable constraint across all US pre-configured models.
