PORTLAND, Ore. — A new portable charging station entering the market aims to stand out by offering consumers more visibility into power delivery than the typical single-screen power bank. Joyroom has introduced the Podix PR70, a high-capacity accessory equipped with dual TFT smart displays designed to provide detailed real-time data.
Dual-display monitoring design
The primary information panel is positioned on the vertical face of the device, where users can monitor charging status, remaining battery percentage, estimated time until full, battery health, and internal temperature. A secondary screen on the horizontal side presents additional metrics, including a live power curve, per-port charging details, and total combined input and output wattage.
Internal capacity and power specifications
At the core of the Podix PR70 is a 25,000 mAh battery, offering substantial reserves for multi-device users. Total power output reaches 240 W across two integrated USB-C cables, one additional USB-C port, and one USB-A port. The company states that two USB-C-powered laptops can be charged simultaneously — one at 140 W and the other at 100 W — using the built-in cable and the USB-C port. In dedicated single-port operation, the retractable USB-C cable delivers 100 W, the USB-C carry-strap cable provides 140 W, the USB-C port supplies 100 W, and the USB-A port supports 36 W. Up to four devices can be connected at once.
The accessory adopts a tower-style form factor, placing it in a category alongside compact, high-capacity laptop power banks. It supports a broad range of fast-charging protocols, including PPS, PD 3.1, QC 4+, SCP, FCP, AVS, and Apple 2.4A.
Safety features and physical footprint
The Podix PR70 incorporates 15 layers of circuit protection against hazards such as overheating, overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuits, complemented by NTC intelligent thermal control. Approved for air travel, the unit measures 6.3 x 1.94 x 2.23 inches (160 x 48.2 x 56.6 mm) and weighs approximately 622 grams (1.37 lbs).
Pricing is set at $149, though a launch promotion on Kickstarter currently reduces the cost by 47 percent, bringing the limited-time price down to $79.
