Familiar Design Hints at an Approaching Launch
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra arrived in September 2025, suggesting its successor could be unveiled soon. Credible leaker OnLeaks has now shared high-resolution renders and precise measurements for the next-generation flagship tablet, giving an early look at what appears to be a deliberately conservative refresh.
Dimensions and Build Remain Unchanged
The leaked imagery reveals a device that is visually indistinguishable from the current model. Measuring 326.3 x 208.5 x 5.1 millimeters, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra reportedly matches its predecessor’s footprint and slim profile exactly. The tablet retains a flat metal frame, a dual rear camera arrangement, and exceptionally narrow display borders. Notably, Samsung also appears to have preserved its most debated design choice: the front-facing camera continues to sit inside a display notch.
On the rear panel, three metal contact points are visible, designed to attach a keyboard cover. Industry observers have previously noted that this magnetic connector positioning is consistent with Samsung’s Book Cover Keyboard ecosystem.
Internals Get a MediaTek Shift
Speculation from early rumors points to a largely carried-over hardware foundation. The device is said to feature the same 14.6-inch AMOLED screen, an 11,600 mAh battery, and 45-watt USB-C fast charging found in the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
The most significant change lies under the hood. A prior benchmark sighting indicates Samsung is turning to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 to power the tablet, moving away from the Qualcomm Snapdragon series for this generation. While the Dimensity 9500 delivers performance roughly comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it faces a substantial gap against Apple’s M5 silicon in the iPad Pro. The M5 is reported to offer 56 percent faster CPU speeds and more than double the GPU performance, leaving Samsung’s updated flagship at a clear disadvantage in raw tablet processing power.
