Xiaomi is preparing to introduce a new foldable phone model in the Chinese market in the near future. The upcoming device, likely to be named the Mix Flip, has had some of its key specifications leaked before any official announcement.
Xiaomi Mix Flip Cover Display & Battery
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station disclosed this information on Weibo, a popular Chinese microblogging platform. The Xiaomi Mix Flip is anticipated to make its debut in the first half of this year, hinting that its launch might be imminent. According to the tipster, the primary screen of the smartphone will have minimal bezels, while the cover display will sport two punch hole cutouts housing a 50-megapixel main camera and a telephoto shooter.
Battery and Charging Details
The leaked details also mention that the prototype of the Mix Flip is equipped with a battery capacity ranging from 4,800mAh to 4,900mAh. This aligns with previous reports suggesting a larger battery despite the device's slim design. Additionally, Xiaomi is expected to incorporate 67W wired fast charging technology into its latest foldable phone offering.
Market and Performance Speculations
The smartphone is likely to carry the model numbers 2405CPX3DC and 2405CPX3DG for the Chinese and global markets, respectively. Rumors suggest that it may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. However, contrary to initial reports, satellite connectivity might not be included. The Mix Flip's name was confirmed last year through an IMEI database listing, positioning it as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. As of now, this is the extent of the available information, with more updates expected in the near future.
