Vivo has revealed plans to unveil its eagerly awaited X200 series on October 14th in Beijing, China. Reports indicate that the lineup will comprise the Vivo X200, X200+, and X200 Pro, all of which will be equipped with MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9400 chipset. This marks a significant improvement over the Dimensity 9300 used in the previous X100 series.
Design and Display
Vivo has experienced notable growth in China’s high-end market, primarily due to a shift of iPhone users to Vivo devices. To accommodate these users, the Vivo X200 series will feature a flat-screen design reminiscent of iPhones, facilitating a smoother transition. The Vivo X200 is anticipated to have a 6.3-inch flat OLED LTPO display, offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the X200 Pro is rumored to feature a larger 6.7/6.8-inch micro-curved display, also with LTPO and 1.5K resolution.
Camera Capabilities
In terms of photography, the Vivo X200 might be equipped with a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a wide-angle lens, and a 70mm periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The X200 Pro is speculated to include a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, enabling enhanced zooming capabilities.
Operating System and Battery Life
The series is expected to operate on the latest Origin OS 5, which is based on Android 15. This system promises a seamless user experience with improved AI features and personalized interactions. Regarding battery performance, the X200 is predicted to contain a 5,600mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging, while the Pro model might come with a larger 6,000mAh battery.
Advanced Features
The Vivo X200 series will boast advanced features such as a custom sensor, imaging chip, and chipset with Blue Crystal technology. The X200 will feature an optical fingerprint sensor, whereas the X200 Pro may include an ultra-sonic sensor. Both models are expected to have an IP68/69 rating, ensuring resistance to water and dust.
