Prolific industry leakster who goes by the name Digital Chat Station (DCS) has spilled the beans on a new Realme phone powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
According to the tipster, the phone's official name wasn't mentioned, but it is likely to be the Realme GT 7 Pro. This phone will follow the GT 5 Pro as there is no Pro model in the Realme GT 6 series.
Display and Camera
Rumor has it that the GT 7 Pro will feature a 1.5K resolution display with slightly curved edges. The back of the phone is expected to showcase a square-shaped camera module in the top left corner, which will house a triple-camera system.
The primary sensor is speculated to be a 50MP multi-focal lens, and one of the additional cameras is expected to be a 3x periscope telephoto lens utilizing the Sony IMX882 sensor. However, the phone might not support telephoto macro capabilities.
Battery and Charging
Regarding the battery, the tipster suggests it will be around 6000mAh, but not "less than 5800mAh," and the phone is expected to support 100-watt fast charging.
Security and Durability
For security, the GT 7 Pro will reportedly feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, making it the first Realme phone to include this technology.
Additionally, the tipster mentioned that the phone will have IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, meaning it should withstand splashes, spills, and brief submersion in water. However, wireless charging support has not yet been confirmed for the Realme GT 7 Pro.
Beyond these details, not much else was revealed about the phone.
Launch Details
The GT 7 Pro is already confirmed to launch in India, as revealed by a company official. It could be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone to debut in the global market, with the launch date expected sometime in the last quarter of this year.
