Vivo's X Fold 3 Series Set to Launch in China on March 26

Vivo has officially announced that the eagerly anticipated X Fold 3 series will make its debut in China on March 26. The upcoming foldable phones have been the subject of numerous leaks and teasers, building excitement among tech enthusiasts.

Cutting-Edge Features Unveiled

Recent leaks have provided insights into the innovative features of the new foldable devices. According to reports, the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro are expected to boast an exceptionally slim profile when unfolded, coupled with a lightweight construction. It is suggested that both models will be thinner than the 2015 Vivo X5 Max, currently recognized as the world's slimmest phone at 5.1mm.

Powerful Performance and Stunning Displays

The X Fold 3 Pro is slated to be the pioneer foldable phone to integrate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the X Fold 3 will likely sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Notably, both devices have made appearances on benchmarking platforms like AnTuTu and Geekbench.

The X Fold 3 series is anticipated to showcase remarkable screens, featuring an 8.03-inch Samsung E7 AMOLED primary display with 2K resolution, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Additionally, the inner screen is expected to measure 6.5 inches and also incorporate an ultrasonic scanner.

Enhanced Camera Capabilities and Software

Both the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro are set to house a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP periscope module, all equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). These devices will also come equipped with Vivo's proprietary V3 imaging chip.

On the software front, the phones are slated to run on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14. Moreover, users can expect a robust battery capacity of 5,500 mAh, supporting 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Pricing Details

Rumors suggest that the Vivo X Fold 3 could be priced around CNY 7,999 ($1,113), while the X Fold 3 Pro may come with a price tag of CNY 9,999 ($1,391) for the base variant.
