Vivo has unveiled the budget-friendly Y03 smartphone in March 2024, so it’s only natural that we now anticipate a new model. In this regard, the forthcoming smartphone has been detected on various certification platforms, such as TRDA, CQC, and NCC, which showcase actual images of the device alongside some specifications.
Vivo Y04 TRDA and CQC Insights
The Vivo Y04 appears on the TDRA certification site with the model identifier V2430. Although the listing lacks detailed features, it does confirm the device’s name and hints at a launch in the UAE market.
Insights from CQC Certification
Another certification platform, CQC, provides details about the Y04’s charging features. The listing indicates that the phone will support 15W fast charging, which aligns with expectations for a budget smartphone.
NCC Certification Reveals Design
The most informative certification comes from NCC, where we see the Vivo Y04’s design in actual images. The device is showcased in two color choices — a matte dark green option and a purple version with a glass back. The camera setup looks quite basic, featuring a pill-shaped module that holds two sensors and a ring light. Interestingly, the design closely resembles Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, which we just caught a glimpse of earlier this week. The volume and power buttons are located on the side of the device.
At the bottom of the smartphone, there is a USB Type-C port along with a headphone jack, while the top is home to a speaker grille. The SIM tray is placed on the left side. In the front, the Y04 has a flat screen with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. Based on the NCC images, the phone measures about 80mm in width and roughly 170mm in length.
The NCC database also reveals details about the phone’s battery. It utilizes a Li-ion battery (model number BA61) with a rated capacity of 5380mAh and a typical capacity of 5500mAh. Furthermore, the database mentions a power adapter (model number V1530L0B0-US) that supports 15W wired fast charging.
