Ulefone, a company known for making tough smartphones, has introduced its new budget-friendly rugged device, the Armor X31 Pro. This latest addition to the Armor X series is built to handle more demanding conditions than your typical smartphone. It boasts an IP68 + IP69K rating for water and dust resistance.
Surviving the Elements
The Armor X31 Pro can endure falls from heights of up to 2 meters (about 6.6 feet). It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, combined with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 2 TB with a microSD card. The device comes with Android 14 pre-installed, but there is no information regarding future software updates, which suggests it might not receive any.
Display and Camera Features
This 5G-capable smartphone features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels, a maximum brightness of 800 nits, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. In terms of photography, the Armor X31 Pro is equipped with a 64 MP Sony IMX682 main sensor, a 25 MP night vision camera with a 77.04° field of view, and a 2 MP Omnivision OV02B10 macro lens. The device also comes with a separate glare flashlight that offers a maximum brightness of 120 lumens. Additional features include WiFi 2.4/5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a customizable key, MIL-STD-810H certification, NFC, and an FM radio that operates without the need for wired headphones.
Pricing and Availability
The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro is priced at $399.99 (around €385) and will be sold on AliExpress starting January 1, 2025, at a promotional price of $199.99 (about €190). Customers can choose from three colors: Classic Black, Few Orange, and Lightsome Green.
