Samsung is getting ready to update its budget-friendly Galaxy A series. We previously reported on the leaked information about the Galaxy A56. Now, a support page for this mid-range device is now up, suggesting that its launch is just around the corner.
Upcoming Devices
In addition to the Galaxy A56, the support page for the more economical Galaxy A36 is also available in France. This indicates that both smartphones are likely to be launched soon in that region.
The Galaxy A56 carries the model number SM-A566B, while the Galaxy A36 is identified as SM-A366B. Unfortunately, the support pages don’t provide any information on specifications or features; however, earlier leaks and rumors have given us some clues about what to expect from these devices.
Potential Features
The Galaxy A56 is rumoured to undergo a significant redesign. It could be powered by the Exynos 1580, which is a step up from the Exynos 1480 used in the Galaxy A55 (currently priced at $329 on Amazon). While the battery capacity might remain unchanged from the last version, the device is expected to support 45W wired charging.
On the flip side, the Galaxy A36 might also showcase a new rear camera layout. Speculation suggests that its size will be somewhat smaller than its previous model. The display on the A36 might be 6.64 inches in size. It could sport a Qualcomm chip, with whispers indicating it might be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
Release Timeline
The Galaxy A55 and A35 were launched in March of last year. It seems unlikely that the A series phones will arrive in January, as Samsung likely wants to focus on the Galaxy S25 series first. Thus, February or March seems to be a more plausible timeframe for the debut of the new A series devices.
