Samsung is preparing to unveil its eagerly awaited Galaxy S25 Slim in May 2025. A reliable source, Instant Digital, suggests that the launch might take place during China’s 618 Shopping Festival, which would be a clever timing to tap into a busy shopping season. In addition, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to be available for pre-orders right after the launch event, with shipping expected to begin after the Lunar New Year.
Performance and Specifications
The Galaxy S25 Slim has recently appeared on GeekBench, displaying remarkable hardware features. It is identified by the model number “SM-937U” and has scored an impressive 3005 in single-core and 6945 in multi-core tests. This device will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset and come with 12GB of RAM, operating on One UI 7 based on Android 15, marking its first appearance in the S25 series.
Design and Features
Offering a sleek and lightweight option within the S25 lineup, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to sport a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Rumors indicate it will feature Samsung’s ALoP camera tech, highlighted by a 200MP main sensor, a 3.5x telephoto lens, an ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP front-facing camera.
Despite its slim profile at just 6.6mm—thinner than both the S25 (7.2mm) and S25 Plus (7.3mm)—the Galaxy S25 Slim could accommodate a battery ranging from 4700mAh to 5000mAh. There are whispers that it may be hinted at during this month’s Galaxy Unpacked event, following Samsung’s strategy used with the Galaxy Ring last year.
Upcoming Series Launch
The Galaxy S25 series, which is set for launch on January 22, includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Both the S25 and S25+ will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, come with 12GB+ RAM, and have triple rear camera systems, with display sizes from 6.36 to 6.7 inches, all boasting 120Hz refresh rates.
The top-tier S25 Ultra will showcase a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a 200MP quad-camera system, a durable titanium design, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired and Qi2 wireless charging.
