Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G Gets Bureau of Indian Standards Approval

Samsung is preparing to introduce an updated version of its well-loved Galaxy M55. The new model, known as the Galaxy M55s, has been observed on several certification platforms, with the Bureau of Indian Standards being the most recent one.

The certification verifies that the Samsung Galaxy M55s, carrying the model number SM-M558B/DS, will soon debut in the Indian market. However, the certification does not provide much additional information. Nonetheless, the device was recently seen on Geekbench, which confirms some important specifications.

According to Geekbench, the Galaxy M55s will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, supported by 8GB of RAM, and will run on Android 14.

While detailed information is limited, it is probable that the M55s will maintain some core features from its predecessor. The Galaxy M55 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. It boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W charging. Camera-wise, it features a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro unit, and a 50MP front-facing selfie camera.

In related news, the Xiaomi 14T has also appeared on Geekbench, revealing specifications such as a Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor and 12GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the 14T Pro model will be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ processor. Both models are expected to feature advanced camera hardware designed for excellent low-light performance.
