A recent leak from SpillSomeBeans has provided extensive details about the Redmi A3x, revealing almost all aspects of the phone’s specifications through a series of marketing materials.
The Redmi A3x, similar to its predecessor, the Redmi A3, boasts a 6.71-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, DC Dimming for eye comfort, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The rear camera setup continues with a dual-sensor configuration, featuring a 50MP main camera and an auxiliary sensor, while the front houses a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. A 5000mAh battery powers the device, and it includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
Chipset and Performance
The key difference between the A3x and the A3 lies in the chipset. The A3x is equipped with a Unisoc T603 SoC, whereas the A3 uses a MediaTek Helio G36. According to Xiaomi’s marketing materials, both processors offer comparable performance on the AnTuTu benchmark. The A3x will come with 3GB of RAM, with the option to virtually expand it by up to 4GB.
Color Options and Design
The A3x introduces new color options, opting for a glass back in Aurora Green, replacing the leather finish of the A3’s Forest Green variant. The MoonLight White color is replaced by Star Blue on the A3x, while Midnight Black remains consistent across both models. All three color options feature glass backs, plastic frames, and measure 8.3mm in thickness. Xiaomi is also highlighting the camera design of the A3x, comparing it to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and calling it a “Xiaomi’s heritage design.”
Software and Additional Features
The Redmi A3x will run on Android 14 out of the box, with a commitment to 2 years of major OS updates and 3 years of security patches. The phone includes a single speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
