Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus Ace 5 series on December 26 in a launch event in China. This new lineup will include two models: the Ace 5 and the Ace 5 Pro. The company has already shared various details regarding their features and specifications. Recent teasers revealed performance metrics for the Pro model, including its main camera sensor, battery size, and fast charging capabilities.
Performance Insights
According to a post by OnePlus on Weibo, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro has achieved over 3.2 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. This impressive performance is driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which can surpass the 3 million score under ideal conditions. The device boasts a 6100mAh battery, which the brand claims enables up to 7 hours of gaming at 120FPS. Furthermore, the battery supports 100W fast charging, allowing it to be fully charged in just 35 minutes, minimizing downtime.
Camera Features
When it comes to photography, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will feature a 50 MP Sony IMX906 main camera, which has been utilized in previous models like the Realme GT7 Pro and Nubia Z70 Ultra. It will incorporate Oppo’s latest flagship imaging technology, along with the “shadowless capture” technology used in OnePlus’s high-end devices, ensuring vivid and sharp photos. The brand has also shared some sample images, which are provided below for review.
Additional Specifications
Other confirmed specifications include an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, a "Dual Ice Core VC" cooling system, and a cutting-edge e-sports Wi-Fi G1 chip. Following the trend of previous releases, it seems likely that this device will be limited to the Chinese market. However, the standard OnePlus Ace 5 is anticipated to be rebranded as the OnePlus 13R for global sales.
