Samsung is set to release its new budget-friendly smartphone, the Galaxy A15, in the near future. The device has recently appeared on several certifications, including the Bluetooth SIG, Singapore's IMDA, and Thailand's NBTC, all but confirming its upcoming launch. In fact, the smartphone is already listed on Walmart in the US.
Multiple Certifications Confirm the Launch
The Galaxy A15, both in its 4G and 5G variants, has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG with model numbers SM-AISGE_DSN, SM-AISGE_N, SM-ASSB_DSN, SM-ASSE_DS, SM-AISEM_DSN, SM-AISEM_N, and SM-AISSO for the 5G model, and SM-AISSF_DSN, SM-AISSE_N, SM-4155FDS, SM-AISSM_DSN, SM-AISSM.N for the 4G model. These certifications reveal that both models will feature Bluetooth 5.3.
Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G has made an appearance on the IMDA, confirming its NFC support. It has also been listed on the NBTC with the model code SM-A156E, further solidifying the imminent launch in Thailand. With all these certifications in place, it is highly likely that the official announcement will be made in the coming days.
Leaked Specifications and Pricing
Despite the official release still pending, the Galaxy A15 has already made an appearance on Walmart, divulging most of its specifications. The listing reveals a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 13MP front camera, and a 50MP primary rear sensor. The 5G variant will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC and will come with a 5000mAh battery. The dimensions of the device are 6.30 x 3.00 x 0.33 inches.
The listed variant on Walmart includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with a price tag of $139 (approximately Rs 11,600). It will be available in the Blue Black color option. Leaks suggest that the primary rear sensor will be accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
It is worth noting that there may be slight variations in the SoC for the Galaxy A15 4G variant.
