Leveraging stunning 4K display and advanced webOS, LG reveals new MyView intelligent monitors+ with enhanced features

LG Introduces New Smart Monitor in South Korea

LG has recently launched its brand-new smart monitor, called MyView, in its home market of South Korea. The MyView model comes in two variants, namely 32SR70U and 32SR83U, and is designed to serve various purposes. These monitors can function as a simple home appliance and even double as a home office PC. This release comes just a month after the company unveiled 32-inch and 37-inch Smart Monitors.

LG MyView Specs

The LG MyView smart monitors feature a 32-inch IPS display with UHD resolution (4K), 95 percent of the Digital Cinema Institute’s color gamut, HDR10, 16:9 aspect ratio, 350 nits of peak brightness, and 95 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. Additionally, they come with Flicker Safe panel NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. While both models have similar specifications, there are slight differences in design. The 32SR70U MyView has an all-in-one design of LG Room and TV, featuring soft curves and a white finish. On the other hand, the 32SR83U has slimmer bezels, a tilt function, and screen height adjustment, making it more suitable for office use with a customizable screen experience.

WebOS Platform and Standalone Experience

What makes the LG MyView monitors “smart” is the inclusion of the webOS platform. This allows users to have a standalone experience, eliminating the need for a PC connection. Users can access LG channels, OTT services, home fitness, and more. In addition, the monitors support remote connection to a cloud PC that offers MS Office for office work. They also support screen sharing and are compatible with Airplay 2 and Miracast for iOS and Android devices. LG has also unveiled the LG ThinQ app, which acts as a smart home hub and allows users to control home appliances.

Pricing and Availability

LG will begin selling the two MyView smart monitors on December 27. The 32SR70U model is priced at 699,000 won (approximately 538 US Dollars), while the 32SR83U is listed for 749,000 won (approximately 577 US Dollars).

In conclusion, LG’s MyView smart monitors offer impressive specifications and versatility for both home and office use. With their sleek designs and inclusion of the webOS platform, users can enjoy a standalone experience and access various features and services. The monitors will be available for purchase later this month, providing customers with a high-quality and convenient viewing experience.
