Oppo is preparing to introduce its highly anticipated Reno 11 series smartphones to the global market. While the pre-booking details for the Malaysian market have already been unveiled, tipster Ishan Agarwal has now leaked the launch dates for India and the global market, along with some key details about the Reno 11 series.
Potential Disappointment with the Reno 11
According to Ishan, the Oppo Reno 11 series is scheduled to launch in India and the global market on January 11. However, there seems to be a potential disappointment with the Reno 11. It is reported that the global variant will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip, which is a downgrade compared to the more advanced Dimensity 8200 chip found in the Chinese version. The Dimensity 8200 chip outperforms the Dimensity 1080 significantly in both CPU and GPU applications. Additionally, the camera bump on the global variant will also be different, while the fast charging will be limited to 67W.
Oppo Reno 11 Pro: A More Promising Option
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro seems to offer a more promising option. Ishan mentions that the Reno 11 Pro could come with either a Dimensity 8200 or Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Both variants will feature fast 80W charging. Furthermore, both phones will have a 32MP telephoto camera and will run on Android 14 right out of the box.
