The Redmi Note 12 4G, which was launched in India in March and has been on sale since April, has received its third price drop, making it available at its lowest price ever. The base variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage now starts at ₹11,999, while the higher variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at ₹13,999. These new prices are applicable across all channels and retailers, and the phone can be purchased in Ice Blue, Lunar Black, or Sunrise Gold color options.
Discounts of up to ₹1,500 can be availed through select credit cards, depending on the retailer. It is worth noting that the phone was previously available at this price during the Diwali festive sale, but that was a temporary discount offered by the brand, whereas this is a permanent price cut.
Initially, the Redmi Note 12 4G was launched at ₹14,999 for the 6GB + 64GB variant and ₹16,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. It received a ₹1,000 price drop in July and another ₹1,000 price reduction in August.
The Redmi Note 12 4G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC and features LPDDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and is eligible for the HyperOS update based on Android 14.
The smartphone boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a centered punch-hole design. It offers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness level of 1200 nits.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Redmi Note 12 4G sports a triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP Samsung JN1 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro snapper. For selfies, it has a 13MP front-facing camera.
While the device lacks dual stereo speakers, it does come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated MicroSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
Overall, the Redmi Note 12 4G offers an attractive package with its competitive pricing, powerful specifications, and feature-rich design. With the recent price drop, it becomes an even more compelling option for budget-conscious consumers in India.
